Every terminal user has three properties:
• User name: an alphanumeric name which can be up to 20 characters. The name appears on reports and makes it easier to track sales. Your terminal does not have an alphabetic keyboard; to enter a letter on the terminal, press a number key, then the ALPHA key to toggle between letters. For example, to enter the letter X, press 9 ALPHA ALPHA.

• Security level: employee, shift supervisor, or manager. All users can sell products, but only certain security levels can perform administrative tasks and print reports .

• Security code: a 7-digit number. To guard against theft and fraud, every transaction requires the user to enter a security code. The first three digits are the user ID and the last four digits are the user password. When you add a user, the terminal assigns the user ID automatically and the manager enters the password. The terminal never displays or prints the user password. When the user enters a security code, it is displayed as asterisks (*).
